Clinical Efficacy of Self-prescribed Wenyang Zhixie Decoction Combined With Acupoint Application on Diarrhea with Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency Syndrome
Objective To observe and explore the effect of the combination of self-prescribed Wenyang Zhixie Decoction and acupoint application in the clinical treatment of diarrhea patients with spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome.Methods Eighty patients with diarrhea of spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome admitted to the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Lili Central Health Hospital in Wujiang District,Suzhou,from January 2020 to December 2022 were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group(n=40)and a combination group(n=40).The control group received routine treatment,while the combination group received self-prescribed Wenyang Zhixie Decoction and acupoint application treatment.The treatment effects of the two groups were observed and compared.Results The total effective rate of the combination group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score of the combination group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.01).The adverse reaction rate in the combination group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of self-prescribed Wenyang Zhixie Decoction and acupoint application is more effective and safer in the treatment of diarrhea patients with spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome.This treatment reduces inflammatory reactions and improves gastrointestinal function,making it highly recommended.
