Application of Acupuncture Manipulation for Reinforcement and Reduction in Treating Knee Osteoarthritis from the Holistic View of Traditional Chinese Medicine
A core concept of traditional Chinese medicine is the holistic view,which takes the human body as a whole as well as a part of the society and the natural environment.The acupuncture manipulation for reinforcement and reduction is a key factor in achieving therapeutic effects.Knee osteoarthritis is a common disease in orthopedics and a disease specifically responding to acupuncture.Clinical practice has shown that the acupuncture manipulation for reinforcement and reduction has definite therapeutic effects in treating knee osteoarthritis with high safety.This therapy can relieve knee pain and repair knee joint dysfunction,thereby improving the quality of life of the patients.From the holistic view of traditional Chinese medicine,this paper explores the application of the acupuncture manipulation for reinforcement and reduction in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in terms of the unity of human body,the agreement between physicians and patients,and the harmony between humans and the natural environment.This paper aims to provide a theoretical basis and methods for treating knee osteoarthritis with acupuncture and probe into the essence of treating diseases with traditional Chinese medicine.
