Yiwei Xiaoji Decoction for Prevention and Treatment of the Recurrence of Gastric Polyps without Helicobacter pylori Infection after Resection:A Clinical Trial
Objective To explore the preventative and therapeutic effect of Yiwei Xiaoji Decoction on gastric polyps(GP)without Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection after resection. Methods According to the inclusion criteria,60 GP patients without Hp infection treated in the Bijie Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and assigned with the random number table method into a control group and a treatment group in a 1:1 ratio. The control group was treated with omeprazole enteric-coated capsules after surgery, and the treatment group was treated with modified Yiwei Xiaoji Decoction on the basis of the therapy in the control group. The treatment lasted for 6 months in both groups. The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score was recorded before and after treatment, and gastroscopy was employed to examine the recurrence of polyps. Results A total of 30 patients in the control group and 29 patients in the treatment group completed the observation. The changes in TCM symptom scores after treatment in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total response rate in the treatment group was 86%,which was higher than that(60%)in the control group(P<0.05).The recurrence rate in the treatment group was 7%,which was lower than that(30%)in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Yiwei Xiaoji Decoction can reduce the recurrence rate of GP without Hp infection after resection and alleviate the clinical symptoms of the patients.
