Chen Wei's Experience in Treating Vertigo from Wind,Phlegm,and Deficiency
Vertigo is a common disease in neurology.With complicated etiology and a long course,this disease seriously affects the physical and mental health of patients and poses a challenge to clinical treatment.Combining the classical theory of traditional Chinese medicine and the experience of ancient physicians,Associate Professor Chen Wei believes that wind,phlegm,and deficiency can lead to the attack of vertigo,and the basic pathogeneses of this disease include wind pathogen disturbance,phlegm-turbidity obstruction,and qi and blood deficiency.The disease attacks the head and is closely associated with the liver,spleen,and kidney.The treatment should follow the principles of dispelling the external wind and extinguishing the internal wind,warming the kidney and invigorating the spleen to resolve phlegm,and invigorating the spleen,replenishing qi,and nourishing blood.This paper introduces the academic thought and clinical experience of Associate Professor Chen Wei in treating vertigo from wind,phlegm,and deficiency and reports a case,aiming to provide reference for the diagnosis and treatment of vertigo.
