Clinical Observation on Qufeng Zhike Capsules in Treating Cough after Cold(Wind Cough)
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Qufeng Zhike Capsules on cough after cold(wind cough).Methods A total of 286 patients with cough after cold(wind cough)were selected and assigned with the random number table method into observation and control groups(n=143).The control group was treated with dextromethorphan hydrobromide oral liquid,and the observation group was treated with Qufeng Zhike Capsules and dextromethorphan hydrobromide oral liquid.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.The cough score,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,and Leicester Cough Questionnaire(LCQ)score were recorded before and after treatment,and the adverse reactions were observed in the two groups.Results After treatment,the observation group outperformed the control group in terms of the cough score,TCM syndrome score,LCQ score,remission rate,and total response rate(P<0.05,P<0.01).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Qufeng Zhike Capsules are effective in treating cough after cold(wind cough),as manifested by the alleviated clinical symptoms,improved quality of life,reduced cough score and TCM syndrome score,and increased LCQ score,being worthy of clinical application.
