Efficacy and Safety of Traditional Chinese Medicine Fumigation Combined with Endoscopic Ligation in the Treatment of Grade Ⅱ to Ⅲ Internal Hemorrhoids:A Medium-and Long-Term Clinical Study
Objective To analyze the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with endoscopic ligation in the treatment of grade Ⅱ to Ⅲ internal hemorrhoids in the medium and long term. Methods A total of 120 patients with grade Ⅱ to Ⅲ internal hemorrhoids treated in Dongyuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to September in 2022 were selected and randomized into groups A(40 patients, treated with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation),B(40 patients, treated with warm water fumigation combined with endoscopic ligation),and C(40 patients, treated with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with endoscopic ligation). The anal pain, distension, prolapse, blood loss, and infection were compared among the three groups after treatment. The patients were re-examined by colonoscopy 1 year after treatment, and the recurrence rate and the times of re-hospitalization were counted and compared among groups. Results There was no significant difference in the infection rate among the three groups(P>0.05).The scores of anal pain, distension, and prolapse, blood loss, recurrence rate, and re-hospitalization times followed the trend of group C<group B<group A(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with endoscopic ligation is effective and safe in the treatment of grade Ⅱ to Ⅲ internal hemorrhoids, being worth promoting.
