Traditional Chinese Medicine for Prevention and Treatment of In-stent Stenosis after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention:A Review
Coronary heart disease(CHD)is currently the leading cause of death globally,and percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)has become the most common therapy for CHD.However,in-stent restenosis(ISR)is a major factor affecting the long-term efficacy and prognosis of PCI.This article reviews the research progress in the prevention and treatment of ISR after PCI with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)by retrieving relevant articles from PubMed and CNKI.The common TCM syndromes after PCI are qi deficiency and blood stasis,yang deficiency and blood stasis,qi stagnation and blood stasis,phlegm-stasis obstruction,and qi deficiency and stasis toxin.The effective prescriptions include Xiongshao Capsules,Yiqi Liangxue Shengji Formula,Buyang Huanwu Decoction,Gualou Xiebai Baijiu Decoction,Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction,and Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction.The Chinese patent medicines used in clinical practice include Tongxinluo Capsules,Danlou Tablets,Shexiang Baoxin Pills,and Compound Danshen Dropping Pills.The commonly used Chinese herbal medicines are Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma,Chuanxiong Rhizoma,and Astragali Radix.
