Study of the Correlation between Effective Components Content and Color Values of Saposhnikoviae Radix Based on Chromatometry
Objective Study the correlation between effective components content and color values of Saposhnikoviae Radix based on chromatometry.Methods From the view of traditional Chinese medicine experience,colorimeter was used to measure the color of Saposhnikoviae Radix powder.Meanwhile,two effective components content of Saposhnikoviae Radix was determined with HPLC and the correlation had been analyzed.Results The correlation between a*,b* and Cimicifuga glycosides was significant,but not much more correlation with 4'-O-beta-Glucopyranosyl-5-O-Methylvisamminol.The correlation coefficient between content of Cimicifuga glycosides and L*,a*,b*,E*ab were-0.319,-0.47,-0.448,-0.351,respectively.The responding P were 0.062,0.004,0.007,0.039.The correlation coefficient between content of 4'-O-beta-Glucopyranosyl-5-O-Methylvisamminol and L*,a*,b*,E*ab were 0.181,0.009,0.105,0.159,respectively.The responding P were 0.297,0.009,0.105,0.159.Conclusion It could be feasible to evaluate the quality of Chinese Materia Medica with the application of colorimeter.
