Paeoniae Promotes Angiogenesis in OGD-mediated HUVECs Through the PGC-1α/Nrf2 Pathway
Objective To evaluate the mechanism of paeoniae on angiogenesis in oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD)-induced injury of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).Methods HUVECs were randomly divided into sham group, model group, and the paeoniae containing serum group. The capacity of cell proliferation, migration, tube formation, apoptosis of HUVECs,and PGC-1α/Nrf2 protein expression methods was evaluated after paeoniae treatment, respectively. Results Paeoniae administration enhanced the capacity of cell proliferation, migration, tube formation, reduced apoptosis of HUVECs,and increased expression level of PGC-1α/Nrf2 protein(P<0.05).Conclusion Paeoniae can reduce OGD-mediated HUVECs injury by promoting angiogenesis through the PGC-1α/Nrf2 pathway.
