Analysis and Evaluation of Phenotypic Traits of Cultivated Polygonatum sibiricum Delar.ex Redoute Germplasm Resources
Objective To clarify the diversity and variation characteristics of phenotypic traits in cultivated P.sibiricum germplasm resources, and to establish a comprehensive evaluation system for phenotypic traits. Methods A total of 360 cultivated P.sibiricum germplasm was selected from 24 batches as experimental materials, and 16 phenotypic traits were selected for determination, and multivariate statistical analyses such as diversity analysis, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and principal component analysis were carried out to establish a comprehensive evaluation system for phenotypic traits of P sibiricum. Results The phenotypic variation of cultivated P.sibiricum mainly existed in populations. The genetic diversity of phenotypic traits of was abundant, and the variation of leaf length, fruit transverse diameter, root diameter, fruit shape index, root thickness, plant height, and fruit longitudinal diameter was relatively high.Principal component analysis(PCA)showed that 9 phenotypic traits, including plant height, ground diameter, root fresh weight, root thickness, root thickness, leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, and fruit transverse diameter, contained abundant genetic information and had the potential to select, and could retain most of the phenotypic genetic diversity information, which could be preferentially used as important indicators for the evaluation of cultivated P sibiricum Delar.ex Redoute.Cluster analysis divided Polygonatum into 3 groups. Conclusion A comprehensive evaluation system for phenotypic traits of P.sibiricum is established, which provide a reference for the screening of excellent germplasm of P.sibiricum.
