Studies on the Changes of the Production Regions and Status of Ophiopogon japonicus(L.f)Ker-Gawl.in China
Objective To explore the changes in the production areas and current situation of Ophiopogon japonicus,propose corresponding countermeasures,and provide reference for promoting the sustainable development of the Ophiopogon japonicus industry.Methods Through literature research,place of origin investigation,and historical data analysis,this study explores the laws and production status of the changes in the production areas of Ophiopogon japonicus,and conducts in-depth analysis of factors such as the history of changes,planting area,yield,demand,and price to explore the internal reasons for the changes in the production areas of Ophiopogon japonicus.Results The main production areas of Ophiopogon japonicus had evolved from the original central,western and eastern regions to the current advantageous production areas of Sichuan and Zhejiang provinces.The yield per mu had gradually evolved from higher provinces in Anhui,Henan,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,and Guangdong to Zhejiang and Sichuan provinces.The price of Ophiopogon japonicus fluctuates in a pattern of six years,starting from low and then rising.Conclusion The production areas of Ophiopogon japonicus have gradually developed from"dispersion"to"concentration",forming two authentic medicinal herbs:"Zhe mai dong"and"Chuan mai dong".The yield of Ophiopogon japonicus in different production areas is greatly influenced by factors such as market,policies,technology and prices.
