Comparative Study on Large Time-delay Process Control Method
In industrial production processes, there is a common presence of time delay characteristics, especially for controlling large delay objects, which has always been a challenge. The existence of large time delays significantly affects the control effectiveness and stability of the system. Therefore, controlling processes with large time delays has been an important topic in control theory research.Internal model control demonstrates excellent parameter adjustment performance for time-delay systems and can enhance system robustness by implementing filters.Smith predictor control is an effective method for time-delay compensation but is sensitive to parameter changes.PID control has the advantages of simplicity in structure, clarity in principles, strong adaptability, and robustness. In this paper,we primarily study the control effectiveness of the three control methods for processes with large time delays through simulation comparisons.
