The temperature characteristics of the plunger pair oil film was an important factor affecting the performance of ultra-high pressure plunger pump.Aiming at the issues such as low volumetric efficiency and seal failure caused by elevated oil film temperature in the high-pressure plunger pump,research was conducted on the temperature characteristics of the oil film in the plunger pair clearance.The influence of different factors on the oil film temperature characteristics of plunger pair of ultra-high pressure piston pump was studied.Firstly,an analysis was established on the equation of viscosity-temperature-viscosity-pressure of the oil under ultra-high-pressure conditions and the equation of the plunger during pump operation.Then,the fluid flow status in the clearance of the plunger pair was analyzed,and the distribution of the oil film temperature field in the clearance,as well as the influence laws of four factors including load pressure,spindle speed,clearance height,and sealing length on the oil film temperature,were studied using ANSYS-Fluent.Finally,the main and secondary orders of the influences of each factor on the oil film temperature were determined through a designed four-factor and four-level orthogonal experiment.Research findings indicate that for every 10 MPa increase in load pressure,the oil film temperature increases by approximately 6℃.Similarly,with every 100 r/min increase in spindle speed,the maximum oil film temperature increases by around 0.76℃.The larger the clearance height,the smaller the fluctuation in outlet oil film temperature.Load pressure has the greatest impact on oil film temperature,while sealing length has the smallest influence.This study provides a reference for the design of plunger pairs in ultra-high pressure plunger pumps.
