Investigation and Analysis of the Current Situation of Digital Resource Construction of Ancient Books in University Libraries——Taking Fujian Provincial University Library as an Example
As precious cultural heritage,ancient books carry rich historical,cultural,and academic values.The construction of digital resources for ancient books in university libraries is of great significance for the dissemination,sharing,and academic re-search of ancient book resources.This paper takes 40 undergraduate university libraries in Fujian Province as the research ob-jects,and conducts a survey and analysis of the construction of existing digital resources for ancient books in various universities through online and field investigations.The survey results indicate that university libraries in Fujian Province have made certain achievements in the construction of digital resources for ancient books,but there are also problems such as uneven construction levels,lack of overall planning,low degree of sharing and utilization,and the need to improve management and maintenance lev-els.Therefore,it is recommended that university libraries should actively seek cooperation,strengthen overall planning,broaden resource channels,expand access permissions,strengthen personnel training,and better protect and disseminate ancient book re-sources.
