In order to explore the effect of parental autonomy support on career adaptability and its mechanisms of action,961 college students were investigated with Parental Autonomy Support Scale,Proactive Personality Scale,Personal Growth Initiative Scale,and Career Adaptability Scale.The results indicated that parental autono-my support can not only directly affect the career adaptability of college students,but also indirectly affect career adaptability through three significant mediating pathways:namely the single mediation effect of proactive personality,the independent mediation of personal growth initiative,and the chain mediation effect of proactive personality and personal growth initiative.
