Deng Xiaoping's Policy Practice on Intellectuals during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and Its Contemporary Implications
The CPC has always attached importance to intellectuals and the special role they play.During the nationwide Anti-Japanese War period,Deng Xiaoping led his army and resolutely implemented the Party's intellectual policy,gradually deepening his understanding of the Party's intellectual work in practice.In the various systems of the Taihang anti-Japanese base areas behind the enemy lines,knowledge and talent were generally respected,and a basic set of talent work methods,including absorption and competition,appointment and protec-tion,cultivation and education,care and respect,were formed.This was an important practical source of Deng Xiaoping's talent theory later on,and also provided reference for the Party's talent work in the new era.
