Investigation on the Former Site of the Eighth Route Army Hospitals during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Taihang Mountains of Northern Henan Province
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression,various levels and types of military hos-pitals made important contributions to the treatment of wounded and sick soldiers and the victory of the war.The Taihang Mountains in northern Henan is an important part of the Eighth Route Army's Taihang base areas.Through on-site investigations of four anti-Japanese war hospitals in the area,including Pingdian,Dawangmiao,Yucun,and Sunshiyao,and by consulting relevant literature,the basic situation of the hospitals during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in the area has been clarified.The following understanding has been drawn:the hospitals during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in the Taihang Mountains in northern Henan were usually located near major roads and rivers;the residential buildings were relatively rudimentary,all of which were temporarily occupied existing buildings,especially the existing public buildings in the village;the medical conditions were very rudimentary,there was a shortage of medical technicians,and there was a scarcity of drugs and disinfection supplies.The hospitals struggled to treat the wounded soldiers and civillians.The Army and the local people helped each other,forming a deep friendship.
