A Fast and Specific Fluorescent Probe for Selenocysteine
Selenocysteine(Sec)is the main form of selenium in living systems,and its content and oxidation-reduction state changes are related to many physiological processes and diseases.A fluorescent probe based on fluo-rescein derivative that can specifically respond to selenocysteine in weak acid conditions was synthesized in this study.The probe can achieve a fast response to trace amounts of selenocysteine in pure water solvent,and common metal ions,amino acids or biothiols did not interfere with the detection.The probe exhibits high sensitivity for the detection of selenocysteine in a buffer solution at pH=5,with a fluorescence intensity enhancement of about 163 times before and after the response,providing a new method for the selective detection of Sec in water environ-ments.
