A pressure compensation and environmental protection stern shaft sealing system is designed for a semi-submersible vessel model.The sealing system is based on the real-time linkage algorithm of air pressure and lubricant pressure,according to the changes in seawater pressure,to achieve the balance of internal and external pressure differences in sealing and realize the purpose of sealing.At the same time,the sealing system can be applied to working conditions at a depth of 40 m and equipped with a leak recovery function,which embodies green and environmental protection characteristics.MATLAB/Simulink is used to build a parameter design simulation platform for this system,and the flow characteristics are studied of compressed air under light and heavy loads.The research results indicate that the compressed air flow rate of the system is 0.014 1 kg/s under light load and 0.025 0 kg/s under heavy load.The air flow rate of the system fluctuates during transient conditions.However,in steady-state conditions,this system has strong anti-interference ability and reliable sealing performance with stable operation.
