Research on the Regional Description in Guangxi Online Prose:Take the Online Prose Writings Awarded in Guangxi Online Literature Contests 1-7 as Example
Knowing the geographical location of the author is important in reading literary works.The award-winning online prose of Guangxi show us a strong geographical complex with its prominent regional characteris-tics,which can be made out from two dimensions:description of the natural landscape and that of the cultural landscape.There are always numerous lofty dark mountains and green waters in these prose works,with the mountains standing in the northwest and the rivers flowing in the southeast,which constitutes a unique and de-lightful scene for the reader;the people there are always honest and hard-working;and the ethnic features are always colorful and brilliant.The description of natural hometown landscape,being the sustenance of the author's longing,is part of regional literature on which the writer has to place much importance.Therefore,it can be reached that the internal mechanism of regional description in online prose works relies mainly on the synergistic effect of the author's kinship complex,homesickness complex and landscape complex.
