There existed rich styles of inscriptions for the porcelain works made by the folk kiln in the Ming Dy-nasty,displaying different features in different periods.In this study,300 porcelain specimens from the folk kiln of Ming Dynasty and with the inscriptions of the styles of that time have been collected,classified and interpreted and then the reasons for the prosperity of such inscriptions have been revealed.
