In order to understand the impact of the Internet use upon the cognitive health of the elderly,this study,based on the data acquired from the 2018 Chinese Social Tracking Survey of the Elderly(CLASS),deals with the relationship between the two subjects employing OLS Regression analysis method to get to know clearly the internal mechanism and heterogeneity of them.The result shows that the Internet use can improve the cogni-tive health of the elderly and the instrumental variable method and propensity score matching test leading to this conclusion proves valid,that the attitude toward aging plays a mediating role between the Internet use and the cognitive health,and that the effect of Internet use on cognitive health varies among different groups of the elder-ly.Based on the above findings,some suggestions are put forward to build a digital inclusive society.
