A Study of Pictorial Narrative Design in New China's Agricultural Publicity Paintings:Taking the Agricultural Publicity Paintings from 1953 to 1962 as Example
As an important medium for our country to conduct political publicity work,the agricultural publicity painting carries the social and cultural symbols unique to the times and the narrative characteristics of their own.Based on the triangular narrative structure of the agricultural publicity paintings during the period of the First and Second Five-Year Plans(1953-1962),this paper interprets the narrative logic of these paintings in the his-torical context,cultural context and the context of the images themselves,and analyzes their narrative expression forms from the perspectives of time,space and episode.As a result,it leads to the conclusion that the agricultural publicity painting is actually a carrier of political publicity with the historical features,symbolic features and the uniqueness of its own existing together in it.
