CiteSpace software was used in this paper to analyze the literature concerned with the elderly care volunteer service in the CNKI database and draw a knowledge map in a concise way to reveal the characteristics and trends of this field with the purpose of providing reference for in-depth research and practical exploration into this area.The results show that the publication volume from 2001 to 2023 is characterized by slow develop-ment,rapid development and stable development,and the research object remains high in popularity;the papers from the core journals are few and most of the issuing institutions are universities in China that have no experi-ence of cooperation before;research hotspots are mainly on the time bank,mutual care for the elderly,the com-bination of medical care and endowment,and rural revitalization.
