Research on Female Images in Modern Guangzhou Export-oriented Tongcao Paintings
In the 18th and 19th centuries,the production of export Tongcao paintings was concentrated in Guangzhou Shisanhang.Guangzhou export Tongcao paintings with female images as the theme are a true portrayal of social life in modern Guangfu area.This article selects representative female-themed works from the perspective of Chinese and Western painting,studies and analyzes the characteristics of various female images and explores the language characteristics of painting.Tongcao paintings integrate their own national consciousness on the basis of drawing on Western painting techniques,forming a unique"Chinese-style female image style".These female images transcend time and space,become participants and promoters of Sino-Western trade,and promote Sino-foreign art and cultural exchanges.
