陶瓷文物是中国陶瓷文化对外传播的重要载体,其图片说明的英译质量对能否成功实现陶瓷文化传播有重要影响.中国艺术研究院方李莉教授的《中国陶瓷史》以艺术人类学的独特视角探讨了中国陶瓷艺术的发展历史和陶瓷经济、陶瓷文化的地区与国际交流,是目前关于中国陶瓷艺术研究的集大成的最新成果,插图达800余幅.2015年,该书入选国家社科基金中华学术外译项目.2023年,该书英译本The History of Chinese Ceramics在斯普林格出版集团出版.本文选取《中国陶瓷史》中的陶瓷文物图片说明实例,从生态翻译学语言维、文化维、交际维"三维"转换视角对其英译进行探讨,旨在探究翻译过程中适应翻译生态环境的具体翻译策略及方法,以期为陶瓷文物说明的翻译提供有益借鉴,促进陶瓷文化的交流.

Ceramic cultural relics are an important carrier of Chinese ceramic culture to the outside world,and the quality of the Chinese to English Translation of the picture captions has an important impact on whether the ceramic culture can be successfully disseminated.The History of Chinese Ceramics by Professor Fang Lili of the Chinese Academy of Arts discusses the development history of Chinese ceramic art and the regional and international exchanges of ceramic economy and ceramic culture from the unique perspective of art anthropology,and is the latest achievement of the current research on Chinese ceramic art,with more than 800 illustrations.In 2015,the book was selected for the Chinese Academic Literature Translation&Publishing Project of National Social Science Fund of China.In 2023,the English translation version of the book,History of Chinese Ceramics,will be published by Springer Publishing Group.This paper selects the examples of ceramic cultural relics in the History of Chinese Ceramics and discusses their English translation from the perspective of the"three-dimensional"transformation of language,culture and communication in ecological translation,aiming to explore the specific translation strategies and methods to adapt to the ecological environment of translation in the translation process,in order to provide useful reference for the translation of ceramic cultural relics and promote the exchange of ceramic culture.
