The Application and Experience of Maternal and Midwife Participation in the Continuous Centering Pregnancy Model
Objective To explore the effect of continuous centering pregnancy model in maternal perinatal care,so as to provide reference for improving perinatal management measures.Methods From July to December 2022,144 pregnant women with gestational weeks of 30 to 32 weeks who were filed in a tertiary A hospital in Hainan province and had regular obstetric checkups were divided into an intervention group and a control group by the randomized numeric table method and the envelope method,with 72 in each group.The control group used the regular perinatal care service model,and the intervention group used the continuous centering pregnancy model.15 pregnant women in the intervention group and 3 midwives who implemented the intervention were selected by convenience sampling method to conduct semi-structured interviews at the end of the program to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of the model.Results The continuous centering pregnancy model promotes the growth of peer relationship,nurse-patient rela-tionship and fatherhood,and promotes midwife role orientation,and triggers teamwork to provide diversi-fied support for pregnant women,but there are corresponding dilemmas and challenges.Conclusions The continuous centering pregnancy model provides a comprehensive social support system for pregnant women and promotes the professional identity of midwives,but the organizational management support of the model is not yet sufficient,and subsequent studies can further explore the impact of organizational support on it.
