Experience of Pregnant Women Before Decision-Making in Interventional Prenatal Diagnosis of Amniocentesis:A Qualitative Study
Objective To explore the actual experience of pregnant women before decision-making in the interventional prenatal diagnosis of amniocentesis(AC),and to provide a basis for formulating targeted in-tervention measures.Methods Using the purposive sampling method,a semi-structured interview was con-ducted on 13 pregnant women who underwent AC for prenatal diagnosis from March to August 2022.Co-laizzi's 7-step analysis method was used to summarize and extract themes.Results The experience of preg-nant women who underwent AC before decision-making can be summarized into four themes,namely ur-gently seeking information support,facing difficulties before making surgical decisions,and social support plays an important role.Conclusions Medical staff should pay attention to the experiences and needs of pregnant women before decision-making on AC interventional and explore effective intervention measures to promote rational decision-making.
