Psychological Experiences of Children of Patients with Familial Cluster Liver Cancer:A Phenomenological Study
Objective To explore the psychological experiences of children of patients with familial cluster of liver cancer,and to provide a theoretical basis for targeted nursing interventions.Methods Using a phenomenological study,in-depth interviews were conducted with 16 children of patients with familial cluster of liver cancer from a tertiary A cancer hospital in Tianjin from January 2023 to April 2024.Thematic analysis was employed for inductive analysis and theme extraction.Results A total of 3 themes and 12 sub-themes were identified:multidimensional negative psychological experiences,strategies for preventing familial clustering of liver cancer,and comprehensive support needs.Conclusions The children of patients with familial cluster liver cancer experience significant psychological burdens and have various needs.Healthcare professionals should pay attention to their psychological experiences and needs,and adopt comprehensive intervention strategies and measures through multiple channels to help alleviate their psychological stress.
