Transdisciplinarity and Multimodality of Educational Linguistics:A Systemic Functional Perspective
From a systemic functional linguistic perspective,educational linguistics refers to the teaching and learning activities through language by teachers and students,including both those of theoretical researches and those of teaching and learning practices.The present article is intended to focus on the study of the transdisciplinarity,multimodality and theme-based nature of educational linguistics,establish a transdisciplinary multimodal language teaching model based on educational linguistics,and set up an implementation procedure for this language teaching model,including determining the theme,selecting the relevant topic,choosing the appropriate disciplinary knowledge and the modes realizing it,teaching design,contextualization,evaluation and reflection,and application and innovation.At the same time,it also proposes some questions of four aspects for further reflections on developing the students'transdisciplinary and multimodal communicative competence.
