双语优势研究的争议与展望
Controversies and Future Directions of Bilingual Advantage

摘要
双语经验是否增强认知控制能力是学界激烈讨论的问题.20世纪中后期以来,许多研究报告了双语优势,但近期研究对双语优势提出了质疑.在终身使用多语的背景下,双语经验是否带来认知优势值得深入研究.本综述基于双语经验对认知控制影响的行为和脑神经研究成果,指出当前研究存在的争议,从理论建构、双语经验多样性、个体差异及实验设计等角度对双语优势研究提出了思考与建议.
Abstract
Whether bilingual experience enhances cognitive control remains a hot debated topic.Since the mid-20th century,many studies have reported bilingual advantage over monolinguals in cognitive control.However,recent studies propose that the bilingual advantage needs further exploration under the context of multilingual population.The current review,based on previous behavioral and neural studies,discusses the controversies in the field and proposes some suggestions for future research from the perspectives of theoretical hypothesis,bilingual experience diversity,individual differences,and experimental design.
