多元分析视角下自改翻译语言特征研究——基于《鲁滨孙漂流记》的考察

摘要
本研究基于《鲁滨孙漂流记》徐霞村1937年初译本和1959年修改本,建立自我修改英汉双语平行语料库.从15个语言特征入手,利用主成分分析法和单因素方差分析法,探究自改语言特征变化及其规律.研究发现:与初译本相比,修改本简化趋势减弱、显化趋势增强、规范化趋势增强.徐霞村自改过程中体现的语言特征可能与"欧化"和"去欧化"相互规约、译者翻译观和赞助人等影响有关.本文提出译者自我修改兼具翻译过程与修改过程的特点,修改共性不完全等同于翻译共性.
Abstract
Based on the two versions of Robinson Crusoe translated and revised by Xu Xiacun in 1937 and 1959 respectively,the present study builds an English-Chinese parallel corpus.Changes and regulations of 15 linguistic features in self-revision are analyzed via PCA and ANOVA.Compared with the initial translation version,the revised version demonstrates reducing simplification,extensive trend of explicitation and normalization.The unique features of the self-revised language might be influenced by the interaction between Europeanization and de-Europeanization,the changes of translator's thoughts,and the support of publishing house as patron.The findings indicate that self-revision presents features of both translating and revising process,which provides evidence that revision universals are not identical with translation universals.
