An Empirical Study on the Development of Preschool Children's Pragmatic Presupposition Ability
Based on the theory of pragmatic presupposition and classification of presupposition triggers,the study forms a test of comprehension ability of presupposition triggers to investigate the developmental characteristics of pragmatic presupposition ability and the cognitive processing mechanism of 139 preschoolers from different age groups.It is found that the ability of preschoolers to understand presupposition triggers increases with age but with different development advantages in different age groups.The study tries to elicit the developmental trajectory of children's pragmatic presupposition from the perspective of cognitive processing to deepen the cognition and interpretation of the characteristics of children's language development and cognitive processing,which provides a new perspective and evidence for the interface research of semantics and pragmatics.
