In light of Translator Behavior Criticism,this article tries to syncretize the study of"identity"and the idea of"inter-subjectivity"with each other,and puts forward the concept of"inter-identities".It analyzes the features of the inter-identities and their interactions on a translator's behaviors by taking the well-known Chinese-American interlingual critic and the translator James J.Y.Liu.It establishes Liu's general identity to be"the interlingual critic-translator"in facts.This study is helpful for analyzing the related phenomenon in the process of translation,enriching the Translator Behavior Criticism theory,strengthening the operation of translation criticism,and laying a foundation for constructing the appraisal model for the Chinese interlingual critic-translator.
