Study on Workability and Mechanical Properties of New Sand Lightweight Concrete
In response to the problem of excessive self-weight of concrete components in prefabricated buildings, this study uses obsidian lightweight aggregate to experimentally prepare a new type of sand lightweight concrete, and analyzes the factors affecting the workability and mechanical properties of the new type of sand lightweight concrete. The results indicate that the absolute volume mix design method can be used for the new type of sand lightweight concrete. The main factors affecting the workability and mechanical properties of the new sand lightweight concrete are water-cement ratio and cement content. When testing the optimal mix ratio, the dry apparent density prepared was 1500 kg/m³ for the sand lightweight concrete.Under rapid curing at 50℃for 3 days,it has a compressive strength of 47.2 MPa and a flexural strength of 6.9 MPa,which can meet the development requirements for lightweight and high-strength prefabricated components in prefabricated buildings.
