Although the construction technology of new cableway bridges has reached a relatively mature stage, many such bridges are abandoned once they reach the end of their service life.Reinforced cablestayed bridges can facilitate the exchange of people and transportation of goods in less developed areas, yet there is limited research on effective methods for this type of bridge reinforcement. This paper presents the process and theoretical calculation method for reinforcing cableway bridges, with a focus on the cableway bridge as the engineering background. The effectiveness of the reinforcement is demonstrated through static load testing of the bridge's operational capacity after repair, and maintenance suggestions for the bridge are proposed. The findings of this paper can serve as a valuable reference for future efforts to reinforce cableway bridges.
