Experimental Study on Rotating Joint of Fast-Loading Folding Box House
A new type of fast loading folding box house structure system with rotating nodes as the core is proposed in the article.Different loading methods are used to conduct monotonic static loading tests on three rotating nodes,and their bearing capacity,failure mode,stiffness,and deformation capacity are studied.Research has found that the main failure modes of rotating nodes are shear failure of the pin shaft,tensile failure of bolts,and buckling of the steel plate in the node area.By analyzing the stiffness of the rotating node specimen,it can be found that the stiffness of the node around the Y-axis is relatively small and tends to hinge,while the stiffness around the X-axis is relatively large.
