Monochromatic Light Effects on the Nutritional Content of Wheat Grass
The purpose of this paper is through the LED illumination experiment taking the wheat straw as the research object,to explore the effects of different light quality on the nutrition quality indicators of wheat grass which are chloro-phyll content,soluble protein content,soluble sugar content,SOD activity,total acidity and proline.We used high-pow-er red,blue LED lights which consistents wheat grass photosynthesis absorption spectrum.Red peak wavelength is 655 nm,the blue peak wavelength is 438 nm,Bandwidth are about 30 nm.After germination of wheat seedlings for a 10-day laboratory light incubation,contrast with sunlight culture,then determine nutritional quality indicators.regarded light quality as a variable,the rest of the growing environment are the same.The results show that red help improve wheat grass chlorophyll content,soluble sugar content and SOD activity;blue will help improve the soluble protein content,to-tal acidity and proline content.By red and blue light,it helps to improve the nutritional quality of wheat grass.
