CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS FROM THE ROOTS OF EUPHORBIA PROLIFERA
The phytochemical study on the roots of Euphorbia prolifera(Euphorbiaceae)was carried out.The chemical components were isolated by multiple chromatographic methods from the ethanol extract, their structure of the isolated compounds was elucidated by spectra analysis. The study resulted in the isolation and structural determination of eleven compounds,24-methylenecycloartanol acetate(1),β-sitosterol(2),β-amyrin(3),ebracteolatain A(4),2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-3-methylacetophenone(5),(2,4-dihydroxy-3-formyl-6-methoxy)phenylketone(6),vanillic acid(7),isovanillic acid(8),jolkinolide A(9),n-tetratriacont-20,23-dienoic acid(10),cotonoate A(11).Compounds 1-11 are isolated from E.proliferafor the first time.
