CURRENT STATUS OF RESEARCH ON THE CORRELATION BETWEEN POOR ORAL HEALTH AND ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE
Alzheimer's disease is a primary chronic neurodegenerative disease often associated with cognitive impairment,which can severely impair the quality of life of patients.Oral health is an important component of general health,and is important for maintaining body function and quality of life.Current research often suggests a correlation between Alzheimer's disease and the poor oral health.This article provides a review of the correlation between the poor oral health and Alzheimer's disease,the mechanisms involved and the intervening measure,with a view to informing the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
