In recent years, the research of theory and practice of industry cluster is a hot spot in the area of economic academic. Industrial clusters could promote the development of regional economic, as well, the development of regional economic creates a good environment for industrial clusters, it will be good for the development and upgrade of industrial clusters. Most Of China＇s ethnic minority areas are less developed regions, com- pared to other inland areas of China, economic development is relatively slow, economic development in ethnic minority areas attracts more and more attention from academic circles. This paper discusses the relationship be- tween industry cluster and the economic development in minority areas, and through the empirical research of Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, it believes that the role of indUstry economy in the economic development of ethnic minority regions is significant, select the leading industries, cultivate characteristics of industrial clusters is the preferred way to develop economic in minority areas.
