A Study on the Impact of Medical Choices on Self-rated Health and Life Satisfaction of Elderly People
This study investigates the impact of different medical choices on the health status and life satisfaction of elderly people,providing a basis for improving their health status.This article is based on the 2018 China Aging Social Tracking Survey(CLASS)survey data,and uses ordered logistic regression analysis to explore the impact of different medical choices on the health status of the elderly.The survey results show that more elderly people choose to seek medical treatment and medication in community hospitals when they are sick,while fewer choose to seek medical treatment in general hospitals.The elderly with non-agricultural household registration,married spouse,Han nationality,hypertension,heart disease,diabetes,arthritis,Internet use,higher education level,and higher annual income have better self rated health and life satisfaction.There are differences in self-rated health and life satisfaction among elderly people with different medical choices.It is necessary to guide the selection of more appropriate medical treatment methods to improve the health level and life satisfaction of the elderly.
