Determination of Polychlorinated Biphenyls in Surface Water by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry
A gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GCMS)method was developed for the determination of 18 polychlorinated biphenyls in surface water.Polychlorinated biphenyls in samples were extracted by liquid-liquid extraction method. After dehydration, concentration, purification and constant volume, the extracting solution was separated and detected by GCMS.The linearity of 18 PCBs was good in the range of 20~500 µg/L,the correlation coefficient was greater than 0.995.The limit of detection was 0.0006~0.0015 µg/L,and the limit of quantification was 0.0024~0.0060 µg/L.The experimental results show that this method has good sensitivity, high repeatability, and can accurately detect the contents of 18 PCBs in surface water.
