Research Progress of Xanthatin in Xanthium Sibiricum
Xanthatin is a natural sesquiterpene lactone compound,and its main source is Xanthium sibiricum,a compositae plant,which are mainly manifested in anti-tumor,antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,antiviral and insect-resistant aspects.The anti-tumor effect of Xanthatin is remarkable.Its mechanism is mainly related to the inhibition of angiogenesis.The antibacterial effect of Xanthatin is obvious in both bacteria and fungi.In addition,some studies have found that Xanthatin has a good effect in the treatment of allergic dermatitis,ulcerative colitis and insecticide.In this paper,the pharmacological action,chemical structure modification and total synthesis of Xanthatin were summarized from the perspective of its source and chemical structure,and the application prospect and research direction of Xanthatin were discussed in order to provide reference for the further development of Xanthatin.
