The film pretreatment process of zirconium has the characteristics of a simple process,green and environmental protection,and low cost,and has been widely considered by enterprises.This article provides a comparative study on the zinc phosphating and zirconium film pretreatment processes in automotive coating,based on a case study of upgrading and transformation by a certain automobile manufacturing enterprise.The comparison is conducted from the aspects of production wastewater,production costs,and advantages.It is found that the zirconium film technology has the characteristics of no phosphorus,no nickel,low fluorine content in wastewater,and minimal residue production.Moreover,it does not require extra process adjustment and can react at room temperature,resulting in low comprehensive energy consumption.By adopting the zirconium-based film technology as a replacement,the enterprise can save 2.563 million yuan annually.
