Application of GC-MS Organic Qualitative Scanning Method in the Identification of Hazardous Characteristics of Solid Waste in Environmental Events
In environmental events, the identification of hazardous characteristics of solid waste with obvious organic pungent odors can be quickly screened for major/characteristic pollutants through organic qualitative methods, providing an important basis for judicial identification of environmental damage. This study focuses on solid waste with a pungent odor of aromatic organic compounds in an environmental event. The identified solid waste is subjected to organic qualitative scanning using GC-MS detection method.Based on the results of organic qualitative scanning, the main harmful component of the solid waste is determined to be organic matter, and the leaching toxicity toluene index of the identified solid waste is quantitatively tested.Based on the detection results of toluene leaching toxicity indicators and in accordance with the waste code coding principles of the national Hazardous Waste Catalogue(2021 version),the solid waste code to be identified is determined as 900-00-06.This study is not limited to the minimum sample size for environmental event solid waste identification.Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative technical methods, the identification of hazardous characteristics of solid waste is carried out.On the basis of reducing identification costs and improving work efficiency, accurate identification conclusions are drawn, which can provide reference suggestions for technical personnel engaged in environmental damage judicial identification and solid waste hazardous waste identification.
