The vigorous development of new engineering can not be separated from the support of undergraduate education.It is of particularly important to cultivate Chemical Engineering Design course in the construction of Chemical engineering specialty.This paper expounds the commonality between the ideas advocated by Chemical Engineering Design and CDIO engineering education,as well as the ideological and moral requirements of chemical design practitioners.In combination with the requirements of modern university education and teaching concepts,we propose to integrate the CDIO engineering education concept into the ideological and political teaching reform of Chemical Engineering Design course for increasing the course practicality,strengthening ideological and political education in the curriculum,improving the teaching quality and level,and constructing the cultivation mode of talents with both virtue and ability,thereby providing high-quality basic chemical professionals for the construction of new engineering.
