Research on Simultaneous Determination of Acesulfame,Benzoic Acid,Sorbic Acid,Saccharin Sodium, and Dehydroacetic Acid in Pastries Using Ultra-high Performance Liquid Chromatography
Establish a method for simultaneous determination of five food additives, namely acesulfame, benzoic acid, sorbic acid, saccharin sodium, and dehydroacetic acid,in pastries using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography. The sample was precipitated with zinc sulfate and sodium hydroxide(adding sodium hydroxide solution to pH 7.5)to precipitate protein, then use ultrasound for extraction. The sample was separated by Waters ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 column, and it was eluted equally using methanol+0.02mol/L ammonium acetate solution(adjusted to pH 7.2~7.6 with ammonia water)=3+97 as the mobile phase.Set the flow rate to 0.2mL/min and the column temperature to 35℃.The sample was detected using a diode array detector with a detection wavelength of 230nm,and quantified using an external standard method.Five kinds of food additives had good linear relationships in the range of 1~50 μg/mL,and the correlation coefficients r≥0.9999.The limits of detection were 0.591mg/kg~0.906mg/kg.The average recoveries of five kinds of food additives were 95.6%~100.1%,with the relative standard deviations of 0.12%~1.40%.Five kinds of food additives can be completely separated within 7.6 minutes. This method is simple, fast, with high recovery rate and good precision, and is suitable for the simultaneous detection of five food additives in pastries.
