Analysis of the diagnostic value of CD38 in combination with SAA,NGAL,or IL-6 for sepsis
Objective To explore the expression and clinical diagnostic value of CD38,SAA,NGAL and IL-6 in the blood of patients with sepsis.Method A total of 100 hospitalized patients with sepsis were selected as the research subjects, they were di-vided into sepsis group and septic shock group according to severity. In addition,30 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations during the same period were selected as the control group.CD38,SAA,NGAL,and cytokines(IL-4,IL-6,IL-10,IL-12,IL-17,TNF-α,IFN-γ)were measured and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve were drawn to evaluate the diag-nostic and prognostic value of the above indicators for sepsis.Result Compared with the control group, the expression of CD38(P<0.05),SAA(P<0.01),NGAL(P<0.01),as well as cytokines IL-6(P<0.01),IL-17(P<0.05),IL-4(P<0.05),and IL-10(P<0.01)in the blood of sepsis patients significantly increased;and compared with the sepsis group, the expression of CD38(P<0.05)in the blood of patients with septic shock was significantly upregulated; The ROC curve shows that the areas under the curves of CD38,SAA,NGAL,and IL-6 are 0.805,0.956,0.882,and 0.978,respectively.And when CD38 is detected in combination with SAA,NGAL,or IL-6,the areas under the curves increase to 0.986,0.934,and 0.997,respectively.Conclusion The combined dete-ction of CD38 with SAA,NGAL,or IL-6 can significantly enhance the diagnostic efficacy for sepsis.Elevated levels of CD38,SA A,NGAL,and IL-6 in the blood can be effectively utilized for the clinical diagnosis of sepsis.
