Study on the association between ADGRV1 polymorphism and cervical cancer
Objective To explore the relationship between genetic polymorphisms of ADGRV1 rs59661306 and susceptibility to cervical cancer.Method A case-control(1∶1)matching study was conducted to analyze whether the ADGRV1 gene polymor-phism is related to susceptibility to cervical cancer, and to compare the distribution of the rs59661306 locus of the ADGRV1 gene in cervical cancer patients with different pathological characteristics. Results Individuals carrying the GA and GG genotypes at the rs59661306 locus of the ADGRV1 gene had a significantly increased risk of cervical cancer compared to individuals carrying the AA genotype, with corresponding OR(95%CI)values of 4.199(1.644~10.72)and 3.215(1.23~8.377).The rs59661306 locus of the ADGRV1 gene showed significant differences(P<0.05)in the distribution of high-risk HPV infection, family history of tumors, and different values of SCC.There was no correlation between clinical pathological features such as lymph node metastasis, pathological type, and clinical stage.Individuals carrying the GA and GG genotypes at the rs59661306 locus of the ADGRV 1 gene are more susceptible to high-risk HPV infection than those carrying the AA genotype, with corresponding OR(95%CI)values of 13.7(2.32~80)and 17.52(2.76~111.3).Individuals with cervical cancer of type AA are less likely to have a family history of tumors.Conclu-sion The rs59661306 polymorphism of the ADGRV 1 gene is associated with the risk of cervical cancer and may contribute to the development of cervical cancer in some high-risk environmental factors.
